First photo op of the year! Also, first photo op on the new BYC, so please excuse me if I make any mistakes. Still figuring out some things on here. ;)

So, I asked around, and it was unanimous among the girls:
It's too cold for a photo op!

But I went around and tried to get some good pics anyway. =D

Diana (with her head up), Kate (with her head down), and Mako (underneath Diana) were busy in the nest:

I'll come back to them later.
(Yes, that cat litter bucket in front of them is supposed to be the nest, but they much prefer to lay behind it. )

Freema would not leave the roost. The white plague is here and she won't have anything to do with it.

And it doesn't matter how much I stick a camera in her face.

Wynne has reverted to an egg-shape. She, too, is on strike against the white plague.

And she still thinks it's too cold for a photo op.

Betty looks like she's still mad.

However, adventure calls. She's headin' out!

    Debra Jo loves the snow.

    She loves to eat it.

    NOM.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

Diana is always happy and optimistic.

The snow will go away eventually, right?

Diana's such a big girl, but she's so skinny. If you need some help envisioning just how skinny this girl is, here ya go:

Cricket is just the opposite of her optimistic sister. It's still too cold.

"Unless you can make it warm again, go away."

Well, let's check on the girls in the nest box again. Diana was out, maybe the others are, too.
...Or not. Looks like older-hen Corella's getting into the nest box shuffle, too. (Corella is the white butt to the left.)

Back out in the snow, Cressy's doing some exploring.

"It's really not that bad once your toes go numb."
(My dad thinks she always looks angry. I think Cress just has heavy eyebrows. I'll leave you guys to make up your own minds about that. ;) )

Natalie's not leaving the shelter of the doglu.

    'Nuff said.

The doglu's not warm enough for Maggie.

She's making a run for the coop!

Looks like Kate's finished in the nest.

She's not liking how much colder it is out here, though...

Okay, one last check on the nest. We still need Mako pictures.
( Corella says, "Some privacy, please!" )

Well, I guess I'll have to make due with what I can get here...

Mako sure takes her time in the nest.

...Wait a minute, is she asleep?!

(I'll link to the past 7 photo ops here eventually. )

Looks like those girls are ready for a heat wave! [IMG]

That's some serious stinkeye you captured there on the pics! [IMG]
