If you add Super and Fun to any title, people will check it out, it's a proven fact.

This is my first hatch of chicks and I am really bad at sexing, so all help is MUCHO APPRECIATED!!! I posted a thread when they were younger but I'm hoping its easier to tell now.

P.S Chickens suck at being photographed. Why they gotta move around so much!?

I think this is a roo but I really do not know, we will call this Chicken A

Body shot

Face shot (I think the white guy next to him is a roo)

This is Chicken B that looks quite a lot like the above chicken but his/her stenciling in his/her feathers is more linear, if that makes any sense.

Here is both Chicken A and Chicken B

I think this is a girl, her name will be Chicken C

Okay this is Big Bird and I think its a roo because he is a RIR x EE mix and so are two of his siblings but the two siblings look JUST alike, so either THEY are roos, or he is.

Here are the two other siblings, they are identical- Hansel and Princess. I can tell which one is which because Hansel follows us around like a lost puppy. She is very rambunctious, she has mid air play fights with her hatchmates which is kinda cool to watch. She's pecked us a few times, I like to think out of love.

As for the silvers in the bunch that you can see in the background, in my other thread someone very reliable said most of them looked female, is that still true??

I'm pretty sure this is a lady:

I really hope so!! I want to keep Hansel since she's obviously my fave. I hope I get the hang of this sexing thing soon.

Oh and how do you know the silver and Chicken C are roo's? The hint of saddle feathers? I really want to learn

I spend way too much time watching the chickens trying to figure out in my little brain which is which. I think I see a saddle feather then I'm like naaaaaaaaaaah!

ETA: How old are they when you can tell by their spurs? Or do they not get them til they are older?

On chicken C you see at the base of the tail, the pointy feathers that point downward? Those are the saddle feathers. Too hard to tell hackle feathers on EE's. I also see them starting on the chickens in the last picture.

You can't tell by spurs. I have a hen that has 3/4 inch long and pointy spurs.

Maxx, I have these two pics on my comp right now and I am going to go home and really try my hardest to get some good pics of the silvers as well as my Hansel who is the second to last one there, and who I am hoping is a pullet. Hansel and Princess look just alike, is it possible one is a hen and one is a roo??

Here is another pic of Hansel/Princess:
