Okay I have posted a few times to try and figure out the gender of this little one. She/he hasn't been old enough for anyone to really figure out. I am hoping at this point maybe someone will be able to give me some guesses. Somedays it seems roosish and other days more henish. Lately though I am leaning toward pullet. .

Thanks for the reply gamebirds only. Roo was not the answer I was looking for....lol BUT if that is what my poor Polish turns out to be, then I guess it is what it is. Im curious though....what is it you are seeing that makes you think Roo? The reason I ask is that I have 2 younger polish that I am hoping to be pullets. Since I have been so confused on this one, I am hoping to have an easier time with the other 2.

I don't know, I would not necessarily say that is a boy....I would wait some more...polish can be very tricky!

try posting on the polish thread...im leaning towards cockerel because of the crest. the only polish i have never had a wild looking crest like that and the polish folks on the polish thread agree that they believe mines a pullet

All my boys poofs...and out of 5, I only managed one girl, were much more pointy and thinner. That's what makes me question if this is a boy. My girl was easy to tell, she was a LF SQ white crested black and she had a magnificent poof...her name was Phyllis and we loved her dearly.

lol Leadwolf.....too funny that your girls name was Phyllis because that is what we named this one.....in hopes she is a girl! Never bothered of thinking of a boy name because we know we cant keep a roo.

Great name, Phyllis, for a crazy haired chicken :)

Here's mine...she died from Marek's right around Christmas. A really dreadful disease. I still do not know where it came from...it is a killer like no other. We all cried, even my husband and sister when Phyllis died. She was such a special part of our little flock.

I have a polish that has a crazy crest.

Definitely a hen. She is almost a year old, and lays eggs (albeit occasionally :/ )

I am going with pullet for now.
