I know, they can be very confusing at times! It had a huge comb as a hatchling. Now that it has grown up, I'm thinking pullet.Silkies are tough, but at this point I would guess pullet.
I'll check for the earlobes, and get back to you on thatAre it's earlobes turning blue? I don't see any streamer feathers but it might be too early for that.
I was thinking that too. This on will keep me guessing.9 weeks is too early for male feathering. So you have to look at the comb and the comb is kind of in between-- not large enough to say it's a cockerel, not small enough to say it is a pullet. Which means I think you won't know for sure for a while to come, and that happens often with Silkies.
No blue yetI'll check for the earlobes, and get back to you on that
Do you mean huge comb or huge crest at hatching?I know, they can be very confusing at times! It had a huge comb as a hatchling. Now that it has grown up, I'm thinking pullet.
Huge comb as a hatchling, not crest! It was just very wide then, but has sort of grown into it now.Do you mean huge comb or huge crest at hatching?
