Sorry, I just gave 2 away to good friends here on the West Coast.

I am looking for as well. Will keep an eye on Seattle Craigslist.

Chalk -

How exciting !! Your Bielie's are beautiful. I see you have multiple roos - how are they getting along? How are they with people?
Mine are just fluff balls - but I know I have multiple roos. Just wondering how many I can handle.
Have you processed any for food? I know that sounds insane - when only a year or so ago they were $500 birds - but we all know it's going to happen.

Thanks for sharing your pictures !!

Have anyone weigh the adult of this breed? They sure look decent size, but not 10-13lbs as many articles claimed.

Speedy, I don't have anything to weigh my chickens with. 10 pounds, I don't see a problem with them weighing that. I have hens that I would guess weigh 8 pounds.

They are big birds once they reach maturity. I am strictly guessing here.

Boydfarm, I probably have a dozen roosters in 1 pen, 10 of wich are bielefelders. The smallest rooster in that pen, keeps the rest in line. He is a Rhodebar. He is the oldest by about 2 weeks.

My roos never fight. I kept my favorite two of the bunch and raised them together. They are only 7 months though so we will see. My RIR boys were also fine until around 14 months then it was all loose feathers and bloody combs everywhere! yuk

I can see them weighing ten+ at maturity. Mine are probaby 8 or 9 already. I will try to weigh them for you. And no I haven't eaten any or sold for meat. This is my first mature group.... too much work for that yet!

If you have a good bathroom scale, just weigh yourself with the chicken and without the chicken. The weigh different is the chicken weigh. My favorite bathroom scale is Eatsmart Precision Plus. It repeat very well. There is no need to buy 15lbs scale. Thanks for your help on other post (CL cross) as well.
