I sell my butcher weights of all breeds for 8-10 ea by the dozens. They cover my feed bill mostly for the whole group. I agree that since we have to feed and house them, I would not give away free. In my local store, a whole chickens run aroun $11-15 so mine are a deal

The person selling for $140 is almost to KY line. There is someone else the other direction selling chick pairs for $35 so they are going to have a hard time getting $140. I can't get $40 for LF Choc Eng Orps LAYING pullets!

Wow, I'd be interested in some Orp pullets at that price. We don't breed them, but could use some broody girls. We are hoping to get Bieles soon, so maybe we will be coming to you for both

I couldn't do it myself because DH won't eat our birds - but you'll have a lot of meat off those Bielie roos next year! Darling babies!

I ship eggs only, but I am in discussions with my local postmaster to take chicks. Right now they want me to drive all the way to the distribution center which would be over 100 miles round trip with monday morning commuter traffic! YUK
