They are so small lol you forget how small they once were mine are all several months, my Rooster is HUGE.

Has anyone crossed bielefelder and malines? I know malines were used to make bielefelders but I lost my bielefelder roo and have 2 pullets I wanted to breed in the spring.

Go back a few pages someone hatched some and they had quit a few roosters. Hopefully there close to you. I'm still waiting for mine to lay. They are 5 1/2 months old. My rooster is huge I think he is still growing so don't know how big he'll be full grown.

There is currently an auction running on rarebreedauctions for 1 week old 2 cockerels and 4 pullets. Current price is 110 plus shipping but still couple of days to go. You may want to try your luck! Auction ID is 123930

How big is this breed compare to English Orpington?
My 3 month old English Orp dressed out at 4.5 pounds. But I guess it depends upon the line. I have both Bieles and English Orps. The English Orps are gigantic. But they eat way more than the Bieles. Plus you can't sex them until they are already ready to be processed. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
