A Bielefelder Thread !

They are one of my favorite breeds. But they do eat a lot. I buy my feed by the pallet. LOL

I have orpington and cream legbar. I am working on the self sufficient setup this year to cut down the feed cost, but it has been slow start. My goal is to have 1 small block of 5-6 chickens for egg and produce meat if need. The plan is replace my stock with Bresse, but this breed might be better because I am not so thrill with all white color chicken. In German, the "ie" is pronounced like an "e" in English. Some of us call them Bieles for short.
