It's an illusion due to the camera angle (DD was slouching), but yes, he's still very big. He was only 3.5 months old in the pic.
I'll have to take a better pic to show how enormous he is today.

Bielefelders roosters are the best!! Our last rooster Jackson completely sold me on this breed! They have it all size looks and lots of class with the ladies. Get you one and what him work.

Thanks so much for the comparison! Maybe I'll try a couple more EE - I have two and they lay lovely BROWN eggs (obviously they are just backyard mixes)!

EE's are backyard mixes that lay colored eggs.

Yeah, I know! Sorry I wasn't more explicit - I was sold two EEs who lay brown eggs. Obviously NOT EEs!!!! I'll try again from a more reputable source, but the girls brown eggs are quite lovely anyhow!

EEs can lay brown, blue, green or pink eggs. As a mix type there is no standard and all egg colors happen.
