2 week old dark brahma. I'm pretty confident she's a she but a little reassurance helps. I do know it's a bit early to tell. She does have the pencilling but I had a partridge cochin who had the pencilling but turned out to be a cockerel. I think if the penciling doesn't stick around then it will be a cockerel. She isn't active as her roommate buff rock who is feathering really fast.




 
Yep, definitely a pullet.
Her head shape somehow tells my mom that it could be a boy and she points out that some of the tail feather are curvy. They have some curve, but I'm pretty sure males tail feathers start out curving. We've had two cockerels on accident before. She also keeps getting feathers with pattern, not solid like a male. For me the best indicator seems to be the chest and belly, gray with pattern.
