A bit of an emergency for the Two Old Fools

We are the only foreigners in this Spanish village and I only wish everybody's attitude was like yours in the USA and ours in England. Feral cats are pretty rare in England, but there are literally millions of them in Spain.

But I have good news, I think! I'll wait until I'm sure before I tell you all about that.

Mum is just the most perfect mother. She rarely leaves them, and they are constantly being fed and washed. I've taken Ozark Hen's advice and have started handling them, and Mum doesn't seem to mind. The two biggest have their eyes open now, and the markings (as Hoppy said earlier) are getting more pronounced and more like their mother already.

Aren't they cute?

Your suspicions were quite right! We've now found out that Mum 'sort of' belongs to a Spanish family. They only come up to the village at the weekends and leave her to fend for herself during the week. I told them that Mum and kittens were in our garden, and they weren't at all interested. They didn't even want to see the kittens and said, 'Put them out in the street'. Well, we won't.

Anyway, that explains why Mum is so tame. I suggested that Mum should be spayed when the babies are weaned, and they agreed, but I bet they won't. They are nice people, but as I said before, the attitude towards animals is different in Spain.

Wow! I love Siamese cats and they are still rare and rarer in animal shelters if you wanted to get one from the shelter. So I had to buy one from a breeder and when she was old enough to be spayed, I had it done ASAP as early as I can. She is one beautiful cat!

Looks like momma cat has some tortishell trait with siamese markings. I bet her kittens probably would be Siamese, blue point I am guessing!

How many boys and girls you have in that litter?

Good for you in taking care of her and her family!
