Lucy and Ethel are settling in and seem to be getting along with the pullets.

The babies are growing like weeds. I'm going to take them outside to play in the grass tomorrow.

The eggs are all wiggling. At least I think I've seen each one move. They all look alike.

You should be on lockdown now and ready for hatching those.

No but it's making crunchy noises.

The pip is bigger. A piece of shell fell off and we've seen a beak tip poke out. It's peeping. The rest of them wobble occasionally but no pips yet. The suspense is killing me!

They don't all hatch at the exact minute. Yes the waiting is suspenseful, but you'll do it again.

They don't take as long as possible, only as long as what is necessary. It's hard work for them, and they take breaks to rest. They also have to finish absorbing the egg yolk's sack for strength.
