A BYC CHANGE OVER REALITY. All need to read.

I have IE9 too and I didn't have the drop down menus either until 15-20 minutes ago! I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Then I noticed up on my browser taskbar the 'Compatability view' clicky and I clicked it...now I can see the drop down menus.

I am hoping this helps with the rest of the browsing issues I had and helps with some of the problems you are having as well too. There are still some things I don't really like but the rest is starting to get better....browsing earlier today was sure a shock though!

The only current brown drop down tab is the forum one.

*dropping in for an apparent visit*
I dont know what I clicked on to arrive here at this thread- but I figured I will throw my two cents in...

Perhaps I already have added to this thread and thats how I got here- not sure..haha.

I am someone who normally resists change, and tend to find the flaws before the good in a big change..that said,

I am having MUCH MORE FUN THIS MORNING than I did yesterday. And want to say, "Thank you" BYC behind-the scene peeps for making a better place for all the community. Im having a little trouble trying to figure out how to correct something in my posts before it is posted. I seem to only have trouble when I hit the backspace button. My cursor jumps to somewhere else in the post I am creating. I am not sure if it is a personal problem (meaning, my skill level, my browser, my keyboard, my computer) or if it is a glitch or something I dont know how to fix but have the ability to do. Regardless, I can work around it- just takes a little more time to post.
I particularly am fond of how easy it is to change font size and colors. Thank you for putting up with all the negativity and for giving us such a great community to come together in. :)

The fact that you even know that scares me!

That is standard on every forum you visit. Can do it on most web sites when you track visitors. That is the only way a site knows to change if it is set specific to old browsers and another version for new browsers, or if you are on a mobile device etc....

We spent the last year, and especially the last 5 months considering all of the items you posted. This isn't our first rodeo. :)

Hundreds of extensive man hours were spend by our team evaluating all the options, the demographics of our community, and about 1,000 other variables and made what we felt, and feel, is the best decision. It won't be best for everybody, but I 100% guarantee that a solution that is best for 115,000 does not exist, and this is the next best thing AND it exists.

you can please all the people some of the time
you can please some of the people all the time
but you can't please all the people all the time

Yes i hate change....but THANKS FOR MAKING THINGS BETTER... heck i just replace my old flip phone after 8 years...sure most people will love the change........

I just looked for your photos and they are not visible. The album gives you a "Make public" option, if you do not click that then it should remain private.

Thank you! That was one of my gripes...I didnt realize there was a choice...You made my day better now.... Ill get used to everything in time..I am being a pooh missing my old friend is all:( like everyone else..lol
Rob..you guys have the patience of saints to put up with all of us whining up a storm...thank you

That's not really "Standard" because it depends on the forum.one visits. Every forum one visits, doesn't do the same thing BYC does.
Yes, cookies are a standard thing, and generally used to track and even auto logon people the way it is done here. Nothing wrong with that.

While you are figuring out weather any "Browser" is old or new, please code in the larger browser input. This is why people can't RMB click and simply correct their spelling. I'm telling you this, because this issue will only get LARGER! It may even envelope the (I Just Love You No Matter What Crowd).

Code the same things in, and people won't get ******. This is a free dinner and a movie.

I have visited this board much through the past few years and see the changes as being positive. It can be a thankless job being behind the scenes hammering away at the keyboard but when all is said and done the popularity of BYC speaks for itself. It's obvious those who make this site possible are working for its members, thank you. Evolution... it's a good thing.
