Finnie! Wow! Swan had quite the adventure! So glad you got her back! Now that officer driving around with a turkey peering out of the window had to have been hysterical!

That's what I was imagining! And worrying she would have pooped on the seats! But the rehab lady told me the cop had a dog crate. Makes sense if animal control sent him.

It has been raining like crazy here still. I stayed home today since I wasn't feeling great - and there was a brief break in the rain, so I bundled up and turned everyone loose for awhile. Happy birds, happy me .

Feisty I did the same thing! It was beautiful & sunny here and we have rain moving in tomorrow through the weekend. Went home at noon just to sit in the sun with the girls! Spoiled girls, spoiled me!

Finnie-I was worried while reading the entire post! I'm so glad that she made it back home, even if she had write the adventure!

Anyone else notice that Swan is a WHITE turkey? Maybe it's not just palms but white turkeys in general lol. Unless....Finnie, is Swan a royal palm?

Swan is a Lavender Palm....I'm telling you! Something different about the Palms. R2elk disagrees....I have no practical experience with RP's....just my observations!

Well I have owned two royal palms. Swan, who is quite a pain, always jumping into my dog run to get closer to me, regardless of whether the dogs might chase her, and Coconut, my big lazy tom who never jumped a fence cuz he was too busy strutting back and forth showing off all day. So I guess my experience with them is 50-50.

Fiesty, I am starting to get concerned. I am already to head to New Zealand with you, but my tickets have not gotten here yet. Did you send them yet? They are first class aren't they? It could get cramped in coach on that long of a flight?

Do I need tanning lotion or will they have some there? Do they have coffee there? You can never tell when traveling to these far away places what they have and don't have? Do I have to bring my own Pickled Herring and Lutefisk? Is it available locally?

I am so happy to have you giving me this all expense paid trip to New Zealand. I never thought I would visit there.
