Ralphie Mr. Ts RP friend were terrible. They flew up on everything and couldn't be contained! So they were eaten lol. At least they were all boys.

@holm25 One of your future turkeys almost did not make it through yesterday. She refused to go to bed. Judy and I chased her round and round. When we yelled " Bedtime, lets go, everyone in" I swear she looked at us and took off running for the pasture. She took three others with her.

Also Ethel Jr has finished her Molt and she has come in a beautiful red Bronze. I hardly recognize her the molt has changed her so much. If I was not going to keep only APA turkeys you would never be getting her. I wish they had a division in turkeys for non-APA varieties, She would win her body confirmation is super. I will try to get a picture for everyone.

With Christmas coming and us not having a turkey picked out yet so making a break for it can be bad on a turkey's health.

This guy is some sort of Narragansett cross, and all four of ours were sold as Narragansett crosses, though there were other varieties there (whites, royal palms and slates on the property all mixed). We got them at Five days old the weekend after hurricane Matthew, so I'd say around 5-6 weeks at this point

Mr. T put his hen in line the other day when she attacked our duck. She doesn't attack the duck anymore lol

She better watch it or she might be in the freezer before I get there! I cant wait to see Ethel Jr.! What color are the other two hens?

I have decided dip nets are the best poultry catching tool ever. I use them on my Guineas all the time... They are naughty birds...

Good for Mr. T! Keeping peace in the flock. So Holm is taking Ethel Jr.? How many hens are you getting Holm? And what is a dip net?

Personally I think its adorable that Aurora has a turkey/duck rat pack!

Heh, this lil guy is really something else temperament wise. We're really smitten by the turkeys.

LOL! I tell my customers that are interested in adding a turkey to their flock that chickens are the "gateway poultry" to turkeys, and that their poult will become their favorite bird.
