A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Their toe nails DESTROY a paint job
JR - not only do their toenails destroy a paint job but they leave a "deposit" for good measure. I have three hens, call the "Twisted Sisters", who frequent the truck, tractor, the roof, the pontoon boat, etc.

Thank heavens I do not have neighbors, at least for now.

go tov Australian Heritage Turkey Society conference in March. http://www.turkeysaustralia.com.au/

Feedman they are still hatching. I hope. Some have pipped, one of the pipped is a Legbar and I know from past experience they are slow hatchers hatching on day 22 or 23 most the time..Which is just weird!

Molpet.. They lie!! There is no turkey that does not like to get into trouble. Unless you raise them devoid of human contact. My turkeys are way to imprinted on us and just too much like dogs to be trouble free. Half the fun of having them for me is the "trouble they get into".

If I had a chicken that was as hard to get to bed as some of my turkeys are, it would have been soup long ago.

I agree with Ralph! Turkeys are just characters! Give the chance, they will be your little buddies! :lau

Where did everyone go? I have questions:

Feedman, whats the status of the quail hatch?
Feisty, are you home yet?
Aurora, whats hatching girl?
Ralphie, need more chick pics! Whats Snitch up too??
Holm, when do you get your new turkey hens?
Oldhen, post a pic of Fuzzy Butt over here! He still fascinates me!
R2elk, you've been slacking on pictures! They are so gorgeous!

And finally...anybody have any hens laying??

Memphis-nothing hatching this week. I still have another week and a half until anything hatches again and then it's a few silkie eggs that may be pure or mixes. Week have to wait and see! BUT, these guys cane in the mail today!
