A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone.

Woke up to a mess but so far a decent day. Still no power. But I haven't fired up incubators yet so no worries.

My quail cage got flipped about 30 feet and upside down.

Just gonna have to figure out tops for pens.

Losses for chickens were not a bad as I was thinking. 2 roos and 3 hens got crushed when the steel top landed on their roost bars.

What my pens looked like this morning.

Glad you're doing ok.

I woke up to snow on the ground (WTHeck)

Cold and windy. I had to run out and get a generator, as my old one refused to start and is buried under a mound of junk. I must re-think where I store them. I actually need 2 anyways one for the hatchery and one for the pole barn I have the little ones in.

Luckily, I live on sans so all the water is gone. My worst disaster from the tornado will be having to haul in black dirt in my yard for grass to grow in....This will be the third time I have had black dirt hauled in, just to have to wash down the hill and into the ditch......

Thanks all also!

That looks awful, Feedman. I'm glad you didn't lose more than 5 chickens. It's too bad about those 5. :( How did the quail fare?

Glad to hear you and Ralphie are both ok. Bad weather damage sucks!

For those of you with cabinet incubators, does this one look like it would be worth pursuing?

I really don't need that much capacity, but it seems like a good deal. Assuming it needs a little refurbishing, are these things reliable enough to be worth the investment? Or am I looking at a white elephant deal where I would forever be buying new parts for it?

I'm thinking of spending a couple hundred on a new tabletop. But for the cost of two...

I know some of you have posted about finding used sportsmans.

I think your best bet is to have it sent to Minnesota! That's a good deal IMHO! Just make sure it's working good!

That is nearly half price so not a bad deal. It never hurts to have extra capacity especially for those of us that belong to Incubators Anonymous because of our addiction.

It's got a built in hatcher on the bottom? Pretty cool! The only thing is, with the built in hatchers, how do they boost humidity for hatching while maintaining humidity for incubating?
