Everyone relaxing on the roost :)

Here is her foot before, while soaking, so it is a bit distorted. You can see the large lump and how it was finally brought to the surface on the left. The other foot is a little swollen, but I think that was partly because the other was so bad. She only had a small kernel on the other foot.

Here is her foot about two days later. It was healing well, so I had removed the bandage. There is still I lump from the foot being so swollen, but the infection is gone and it is healing nicely.

And here is a mandatory turkey pic, since this is the turkey thread. These little snoops were watching me do dishes because I went in the house without them. Haha!

I would like to see the pictures, if not here PM them to me.Please

My birds are kind of pushy they don't wait for me to bring them the apples, they just go to the apples and help themselves.

Here ya go!

I think that's my problem with the bumble foot on the others. I think I should have waited till it got worse. They weren't even limping yet. This girl is something else though.

Is your girl limping? The one above was only limping the day or so before her surgery. I recommend using some Vetericyn spray to constantly irrigate the wound. It really helped to loosen up debris and I know it helped to keep the wound clean. The last time, I worked on her foot for over an hour. She is a very skinny California Gray, so I was concerned about blood loss, but she did just fine. A few days later she had laid an egg again!

Narris are pretty. I wouldn't be upset with that. I'm thinking that there may be some different gene between the two of them since their down color was totally different and Pirate seems to have a bit more bold markings than the other but we'll have to wait and see as they grow I guess.

Maybe Pirate is carrying red gene?

My 2 Narris look slightly different, one carries grey gene...

I agree neither is "pure"...

But as long as they are 100% turkey you win.
