What good girls you have!!Hawks....hmmm....mine just seem to attack cats...
I don't think mine have gone for our two cats yet... One of the two cats was banished from the house by the other (she's now so scared of the house that she refuses to use the cat door to come inside) and sleeps in the barn with the chickens. The roosters and turkeys must have taught her her proper place as I've only seen her chase mice (and a Coturnix quail that tried to fly away from me while I was switching pens-good think I trimmed a wing on the silly little bird)R2elk...they have tried to attack cats on three occasions. Each time the cats froze in place with the most horrific looks on their faces. I only wish I had pictures of their expressions. And the girls, upon seeing these cats, immediately displayed, fluffed, dropped wings, lowered heads, and in unison marched toward said cats barking.
Looks like my girls; they jumped in the back of my mother-in-laws covered truck bed over Thanksgiving. It was funny to see my bro-in-law chase the bird out shouting, "Get out of there! I'm gonna eat you!!!!" (He didn't get his wish; we're saving the extra Tom for Christmas.)Our potatoes hardly ever give us much of anything but this year we got some sweet potato starts from a neighbor. I was surprised how well they did and oh so delicious! We may just go with them from now on instead.
There's no snow to speak of here right now but how about a hen helping to fix the car? This is an old picture but I love it. It popped up in my Facebook from a couple years ago. Miss Eve was helping hubby
