There's not another turkey breeder here, as far as I've found. Only competition is the feed stores and mail order, and sometimes people want local poults. I'm small time though.

That dang owl was in my pecan tree early this morning when I was opening the pens. First time I've noticed it in the morning. Just sits there watching us....getting kind of creepy
It's not uncommon for turkeys to drop their first eggs where ever they happen to be at the time the egg wants laid. If it was on top of the poop pile under the roost, it was most likely dropped while the hen was on the roost.Got my first egg today! I have four bourbon hens all the same age so not sure who was first.
I put in those nice tote nest boxes and she laid the thing on top of the poop pile under the roost. Silly bird!
I don’t have an incubator or a broody hen so will probably be eating these and see if any hens go broody or if I need to start researching egg incubation, lol!
