A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

There broody cage doing it's job! All 3 of the cockerels that I have Pebbles On Friday are still alive and doing well! She's not really getting up to do anything with them yet but she's talking to them and they're coming out to eat. One was out first thing this morning, ankle deep in the FF with the temps being 1° out! Crazy birds!

Princess looks like she is definitely broody but when I their her in with Pebbles, she just paces and panics. They weren't on the same schedule this year so I guess I'll have to throw her in the pen after Pebbles is done in it.

R2elk....YOUR KILLING ME!! One of those guys with my girls would produce every one of my dream birds! I even quickly calculated my frequent flyer milage. By the way...years ago....I was flying somewhere and could hear a rooster crowing down in the cargo hold the whole trip.
Ralphie....maybe I drive, pick you up on the way & we could raid R2elks birds!! Only problem is I would be hard pressed to come back with just one handsome bird! Boy that would be a long trip....however, if R2elk made kraut & sausage, chicken noodle soup & a pie....I may consider it!!

Ralph....sorry to hear about Bertha. Hoping for the best.

Aurora...sounds like that broody cage is coming in handy. Brilliant solution for Pebbles!

Cold rain here again. May even get some sleet/snow this afternoon as the temps drop. Got home yesterday at dusk. The girls had not gone to bed yet & were roosting on the backporch rail. Got two big fluffy hen hugs. Had a rotten day at work....but all was forgotten after a few hen hugs!! Best stress relievers ever!

Pebbles and two of her babies. Baby 3 didn't want to come out :)
