More crummy weather again today. Did find time to sit with the girls. Daisy has to hop in my lap. Muddy feet & all. Oh well....she obviously needed some attention. Flora made herself comfortable on my feet. So there we sat....in the sun....muddy drowsy hens. At least they keep me warm! Not as warm as my full length heating pad...more commonly referred to as a coonhound.

R2elk....you were right...I can self feed him & he's skinny as a black snake! Not food motivated. Funny dog....great sense of humor. He keeps growing!!

Will they let you change your order? Is there still plenty of time before it ships?

You might accidentally get a few Sweetgrass in your mixed order but you are far more likely to get mixes. You do know that the order does not have to be 15 of one variety? You could have ordered a few Sweetgrass (I would not go with less than5) and all the rest the assorted ones.

Sorry... I wasn’t clear. I ordered quite some time ago, from Cackle Hatchery. Everywhere else I looked, I couldn’t get what I wanted (sold out) and I figured I must have waited too long for Porters or else they weren’t going to sell this year, so I just sort of panicked. I had my heart set on Turkeys this spring and it looked like I had just about missed the window. I got 4 each of Black, Bourbon Red, Narragansett and Heritage Standard Bronze... 16 not 15, but I had to have an even number of each variety, didn’t I? (Is that OCD?) They were around $12 each, so there is a substantial difference, but still... Should have waited.

The sun is out!! But not for long. Expecting over 4 inches of rain the next few days. Wish I could save some of this rain for July or August!
