Got my hands on him and darned if you weren't absolutely right. It's air! And no crunch like when there was a fight and air got pushed under the skin during the fight, but it's all one big bubble!
I'll go ahead and Lance it in the morning, I don't have any supplies for that here, and the vets will get a real kick out of seeing this. There will be laughter, I'm sure, but I'll get him in.

The veterinarian who boards at my house suggested if it doesn't get worse, I should leave it alone and he will reabsorb the air. She's worried about possible infection, because we aren't sure what caused the air to leak into his neck in the first place. We gave him a good feel, he's got crunchy spots around under his wings, the keel, around the back sides on his carnucles, the air has leaked to various layers all over his body. When I caught him, some air squirted out of his eyes!
