A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Either I miscounted or the incubator was too warm. My current page of notes say I'm on day 26. Four poults out and one zipping.

My poults always finish up hatching by day 27 and are usually pipped, if not zipping at lockdown. Chicks all hatch on time, in the correct day i don't think it has anything to do with temps.

Went out to a bunch of leetle bug eyed babies this mornin. I think there were four or five left to make it out still. But i was pretty done riskin life and limb with the snake. Boy she was fierce today. Even the trashcan lid did not save me from blood loss. Hahahah.

So. Had go back up the hill for somethin and took a towel with me. Picked up the towel covered snake and got a better peek. All dozen eggs were empty and i have twelve cuties in there lookin up at me. My rp hen has been on the fence about the baby rabies virus but today is bein serious. All fluffy and loud hissin and strikin at me. She was the one i could not get broken last year. So i guess i need find a spot for her. I do not wanna deal with her for months this year like i did last year.

Such cute chicks y'all!

Well....turned the A/C on in the house tonight. I caved in. I cant sleep if it's too warm. I also need to set up the girls fans. Coonhound disappeared & I found him asleep on an A/C vent. He loves his creature comforts.

Daisy flew into my yard yesterday evening. She's a funny bird. Found her standing on my backporch. She left poor Annie in the back screaming her beak off. Sat on the steps with her for quite awhile. Guess she just needed extra attention? She settled down next to me & preened herself. Making those little happy turkey sounds. She's a trip....
