That really is something we should think about. We can mail eggs back and forth to each other. From what I have read it does hurt their ability to hatch but not that much.  It appears we have to let them rest a couple  days before putting them in the incubator.  My only experience with mailed eggs was the ones I sent to MM.

Those are the ones her Hubby cooked because he hates turkeys.

He broke my heart that day...
We should do some more shipping this coming spring....

Upon reflection I don't think Holm should follow my advice about naming his hen after someone who lost her head...that could damage her emotionally.

The one in the pictures above is Sweet Pea. I'm glad you guys think she's so pretty she's as sweet as her name depicts though Pebbles is a bigger snuggler. She actualy shoved her way in between me and Adam when i was cuddling him earlier lol.

It's probably a good thing that most of us don't live fairly close together. That way we can't all go in on an order from Porters.

My DH didn't eat them

. But he was left in charge of the incubator while I attended a funeral in Pennsylvania... He failed miserably and they died.
I cried on "hatch" day, the day after too. Then I went and bought turkeys.
Holm- I think your hen looks manish like Banshee in that pic! OH NOOOOOO!!!

Well wait a minute...Aurora & Chaos are both in PA. I've got it worked out! We ship the birds to PA. I meet one of you in Ohio for a handoff. Ralph can meet me in St Louis for the next handoff. Then he meets MM in Kansas for the yet another handoff. MM heads west for a hand off to Fiesty!

Or maybe we just all meet at Porters!!

Chaos is closer to Ohio than I am so I guess the order gets shipped to me first lol. If I can ever part with them to pass them on haha!
