I got chilled running dogs out to their yard. Brrr. Its 40, but soaking wet due to all the rain. Heard little morning whispered noises from the turkey coop. Girls are sleeping in. Can't blame them!

I have the worlds worse potential mother turkey pullet...

she does not leave her rafter to lay an egg.. she just lets it drop..

the other day it fell into one of my PVC feeders plugging the flow of feed.

most days it just lands on the floor and the hard shell is deformed or cracked. Beings the egg is still warm and soft it does not break..

This is a new concern as getting hit with a poop bomb is bad, but an egg bomb could be very very bad..

Since I need to upload something more turkey related, I'm going to show you my ramshackle turkey nest boxes! With occupants!

two old molasses lick tubs and a cracked storage tote with a topper for storing grain in an old 55 gallon steel drum, sans the drum, as privacy screen for the tote.

heres the plus extra suite for Miss Fatty. The others sometimes like how roomy and private it is.

I just have a quick question - did Porter's Turkeys shut down? I can't seem to access it; not sure if it's my adblocker or if the site is down.

They are still around...last year around this time they had the website shut down when they changed somethings

I had trouble trying to get it to load yesterday. It is often easier to get it to load if you go straight to a specific section than to the home page.

I could not get in yesterday when I was using the link https://www.porterturkeys.com/ but it worked okay with https://www.porterturkeys.com

Let me know if there is a specific section that you wish to access.

I got a good tongue lashing from our school custodian today for sending my friend that video!
He said. . "never do that again. . she was showing it at the breakfast table! That was the most disgusting thing I have EVER seen!"

Me thinks he has a very weak stomach for a guy. .
He told me a while back he could not stomach the sight of a farm fresh egg because the yolk is too dark in color.
That's a goin some ain't it.
