A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

The day that I lose this Tom will be the worst day ever. He's such a sweet, amazing, and patient boy! I walked in to close up the coop for the night and was confused why the teenagers weren't greeting me like usual. Romeo had them all neatly tucked in to the nest, warm and under his wings. I didn't get the best pictures since he was coming out by then (I had to run and get my phone)

Romeo is a jewel! So was JJ. A good tom is worth having. If I could be guaranteed a Romeo or JJ I would consider a guy in the convent. I'd have to name him Pope!

Trees are starting to bud out here in Austin. Its nice down here. Fun group to work with too. That always helps!

Sitter said the girls are good. Apparently Iris flew on top of the coop & it took her 20 minutes to get her down. Sitter not happy with Skinny Iris. Daisy came over to her for a snood scratch. She loves Daisy, and Daisy likes her. Blossom & Marigold are leary of her....but they do what she wants.

Hound is being boarded. I can't trust anyone with him. Hes such a climber & escapist. And so strong, hard to walk for anyone but me. He's vocal when he wants something....most people don't care for the paint being peeled off their walls. And I love it when he talks! He has a beautiful voice... loud....quite the song he sings. Hes not particularly vocal....only when he wants something. The Aussies are alarm barkers. He's not. And doesn't start barking if the Aussies do.

Back home tomorrow. Missing my girls.

My Walker used to sing along when certain theme songs were playing on the TV.

Mason is quite the vocal dog as well. Guess it's a hound thang!
I am flabbergasted by all the different voices he has!
He also barks when he wants things. That can get annoying when he wants something he can't have.

Apollo only barks if he's actually alarmed. He's almost 7 months old now and yesterday he weighed in at 95 lbs so he's getting big. He trains well, I demand his attention often and he gives it willingly. He's become pretty polite on a leash, but he can be a bit difficult if something excited him, so we work on that, especially since he has the potential to be 200 lbs. Overall, he's a great dog, and he really loves and tolerates the kids. My son climbs all over him and wrassles like a brother with him and he just plays with him, all day if they could.

He likes to watch TV but has never sung along. He will make a lot of mumbling sounds. They are such funny dogs.
He is the most expressive dog I've ever been around. You can just almost read his mind. You were so spot on about that trait! He grumbles when he's unhappy. . he has a sad groan that sounds like he's saying "Oooohh" and he has a happy grumble voice when he's thrilled to see you and telling you all about it.
Oh. .I was going to mention one difference between mine and yours. . mine is very much on alert. He is going to be very protective. . providing he isn't dead asleep in a food coma. Rofl. I don't normally even notice when the other dogs bark outside. .but he does. And he's gonna find a window or door to look out one way or another to investigate.
The other day there were some city workers walking around my yard looking for a sewer line.. OMG he about lost his mind.
A home invader would not go unnoticed in the night with him raising the roof that's for sure.
He's doing much better keeping his paws off the kitchen counter. .but I catch him staring up there longingly when there's food and
He's thinking about being naughty.
He hopped up on the coffee table couple nights ago and stood there and looked at us like. . is this ok The cat does it?
