This is a mystery colored poult! Mom is unknown, but could be: red bronze(via burbon x royal Palm), burbon red, royal Palm. I'm thinking the tri colored black and the two sweetgrass and the BBB are not the mother. Daddy is tri colored blue ( sweetgrass x slate)
This poult seems to be blue of some kind. Before fluffing out I assumed it was a blue or tri colored blue, but it has a bronze type pattern on it that seems faded out as though blue hued. Super cute, though!

looks like this one did as a newly hatched baby.... maybe a little more red? On the face?

this one might have been a little lighter as a poult but I love her colors

What you are seeing is most likely due to the Gray (semi-gray) cg gene. If the color was caused by the slate gene (D), it would really look slate because slate is a dominant gene.

Of the choices available, I would guess mother - Red Bronze and father - Tri-Color Mottled Slate. My guess is that it is a Bronze Semi-Color Semi-Gray (bb1 Ccg dd RR).

In addition, I think most turkey hens could get through a chicken door...if....

They wanted too, on the other hand a turkey hen that didn’t want to will not go through a airplane hangar door...


Most will do whatever it takes to get them the most attention, treats and so forth.

Royal palms are white and black... but there's lots of color variety of Heritage https://www.porterturkeys.com/phenotypesandgenotypes.htm
Toms need at least 3 hens

Welcome @CatWhisperer ! If you've only ever seen white turkeys, you're in for a surprise! Ralph is right about have going through doors too lol. Check out those links to porters. If you have to order from anyone, I'd go with them over any hatchery. Here's some eye candy for the now though
