Hey! Do I spy a beard on that girl? Love a bearded lady. Those boys are gorgeous. So colorful.

I've been to the grocery store & the drug store. Other than that.....just hanging out at home. Not too bad. Have some highly social friends that are going crazy. I'm still finding this all so unreal. Never thought I'd see the world so upside down.

Both of those hens have beards although the Sweetgrass hen's beard is still pretty small.

Good buddies

My turkey hens are so hormonal. A chicken is sitting in the run enjoying the day and a snot runs up behind to harass her.

Funny how that works, Memphis. I guess it's because I live in "redneck country, but there's a lot of road racing past my house and multiple times a day I hear firearms. I'm sure there is a fair amount of drinking going on, too.

I only let the birds free range the yard and field if I am out there. Otherwise, they get to stay under that net and in the runs. I have only (for the most part) been feeding, watering and gathering eggs.

I also keep the cat and dog close.

Inside it's been cleaning, laundry, cobweb runs (how come I never see a cobweb spider??), and I did a major clean on the stove/oven. I plan on cookies, muffins, and maybe even a loaf of bread tonight.

If I don't take a nap instead.

My guess would be a Rusty Black. Ralphie is familiar with Rusty Blacks.

I have no idea what it will be, many times at 6 months I still have no idea.

I think I lost some turkeys today, but I am not sure.

I don’t recall how many I have (old age and all) I thought I had 21 or 22.

I only got 2 turkey eggs today. Normally I get 7-8.

I asked them to take a zero population growth plan into consideration this year, so I know none of them are on hidden nests.

The Toms are feisty again. For the first time this year I thought I might have to teach the RP who was boss. While I was explaining it to the Tom a white legbar tried to hit me from behind.

The legbar and I had a discussion about inappropriate behavior.

Quite a day here.
