I love hearing the young birds starting to gobble. So high pithed and awkward sounding. I have about 40 poults right now from 4 to 12 or 13 weeks old and hearing as many as 15 gobbling all together. Or should I say some trying to gobble. Such a sight to see and hear. So cute watching young birds strutting thinking they are all that.my BB’s are 5-6 weeks old now and mr muddy has witnessed fighting starting and said one is gobbling already!!i’ve not seen any strutting or anything.
i’ve got to finish processing meaties and get the other run cleaned out, repaired and get them moved over before they start causing trouble with the other residentsI love hearing the young birds starting to gobble. Just use @ sign before name of who you are trying tag. Like @Devils Flower It will send them a alertI don't know how to tag/mention some one but I know you will know I'm talking to you because you told me about this.
I see what you said the other day on a different thread to me about the male and female snood. I really never noticed it until you mentioned it. There is a big difference in the girth at the base of the snood between the too sexs. I don't know why I never noticed that before.![]()

I want to see some of your art! See, here is mineOh yeah no problem! I like to draw a lot so I spend a lot of time referencing unique anatomy on my birds probably more then a sane person would. Also because I get tired of the generic Thanksgiving turkey art where people draw them with entirely feathered heads and snoods coming out of their chins. Those are their most defining features!
