I just had a turkey hen walk through my yard with babies. Accompanied by another hen. It looked like co-parenting. The second hen was the greyest wild Turkey I had ever seen..




She didn’t let me get real close. I am guessing the DNR might find some of those “near albino” turkeys next season around here.


At least I know where the missing hen went.

I have this one chicken that follows my turkeys around because she knows they will dig her up some extra bugs and the turkeys know that Chicken Lady is the boss.

Chickens are so smart.. They say turkeys are smarter but I'm not sure about that. Well not yet..

Turkeys have more intelligence than chickens. People mistake instinctual behaviors for intelligence. Instincts are not a sign of intelligence. Capability of learning is intelligence.

Turkeys have different instincts than chickens. Turkeys have the ability to learn far more than chickens can learn.

Admittedly broad breasted turkeys have been dumbed down. @memphis was able to teach her hen Daisy to run the same obstacle course that she used for dog training.
