A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

The girls have learned terrible manners, specifically "If we jump up on the window, it will be opened". It's both annoying and endearing. They also learned they can walk along the ledge of the back and will frequently be seen in front of every window in the backyard.

I've had all 3 of them in the window at once before. They do it daily. Harper mostly. She woke me up one morning and hit the window with her beak and made me think my mom was banging on my window and that one of my turkeys was hurt or something, so I woke up in a panic and ran over only to pull the curtains back and see her just staring in at me.

traveled for thanksgiving, brought the table turkeys! People ask me how I can eat something I have poured blood sweat and tears into hatching, growing, loving and keeping alive, I just say that I respect what is on my plate and I am well aware of where my meat comes from, and that I cannot breed more if I don't keep numbers under control, that culling keeps a flock healthy , and I am not going to grow birds for any other predators but myself.

Previously Porter's Recessive Slates showed a requirement of a "breeding contract" when purchasing them. I did not notice any such warning this time when putting them in the cart.

This does not mean that the contract requirements have been dropped, it just means that I did not notice a contract requirement this time.

So you're getting some recessive slates?
