16 out so far.

Got my first potentially broody hen of the season. 10-11 month old white Holland girl. She’s been sitting on one egg just about the entire day. Luckily she wasn’t attacking me, just scooping the egg back under her very quickly whenever I would take it out from under her. I don’t really have any pens big enough to break her, but I’ve never let a turkey hen hatch eggs so I’m not sure how well it’d go to let her incubate eggs. As of right now she doesn’t have anything under her, if she keeps sitting should I let her brood in her little corner, or try and muster it up to break her? She’s penned with a jake her age right now.

If she's staying on the nest, get the tom out of there. Toms should never be allowed to have access to a hen's nest. Only bad things happen.

I just got my first two turkeys a few weeks ago! I didn't realize how smart and friendly they are.

I had them outside in a pen and the pigs decided they wanted what the turkeys hadso they destroyed the pen. The turkeys ran 50 yards to the house, up the stairs, and waited at the door till I went outside then ran in the house and jumped on my partner lol I need more.

Nibbles and Baby have been sitting in the corner of the coop for an eternity so I finally just gave them some babies. They were so happy! I didn't even have to sneak them in, I just brought them out and they immediately started talking to them and tucking them under. Then, last night before bed, I noticed that miss broody extraordinaire, Pebbles, has joined the ladies. They can't be raising babies without her! Of course, Romeo has been checking in and making sure the girls are doing it right too :)
