A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I have decided if the jumping front 6ft fence gets to a point, Ill just clip their flight feathers. They were up on the frontal fence and I walked out saying yall better get down and they did jump back down on the property side before I got over to them. lol lol lol lol .. For the most part they run a pretty tight schedule grazing/resting morning, then rest all afternoon to 2pm, then a long graze before they come in to roost. Do enjoy spending time with them and getting them sent out to pasture..

Clipping their wings will not stop them from jumping up on the fence. Heritage turkeys can easily jump up on a 6' fence.

Floppy top above the top rail...so they fall back in

I just had a conversation with someone who’d been working with turkeys for a little over a year (not owning them, but helping out on a farm that had some.) and she believed that they drowned in the rain.

It’s amazing to me how many people believe that, despite it being so obviously not true.

Here’s some soggy turkey pictures.

We on the fringe for some freezing temp drops coming our way. My main rogue group has the horse barn. The home group has the goat barn. Left me with a rogue momma and her 5 babies who stays completely outside by a wood pile. Set up an old 8ft long camper shell propped open, on wood pallets and shavings. They have been checking it out am hoping if they need it they will go in it.
