R2elk, Holm, Let me be perfectly clear, I would take a Tom, However taking a Tom would tick off my DW, the daughter of the Wicked Witch of the South. Bringing a Tom home when I have 9 here now would increase the chances I wake up some morning a capon.

Ralph, are BR'S common in your area? Seems like a popular breed. At least they are here. Maybe you could trade eggs with Aurora. Her tom, Adam is a tank! She needs blues!
But that would put you a year out for breeding any hens you'd hatch....

I have no idea, I have not seen any BR's around here, but little do I know about them. I will have some next year for sure. until then everything sits on JJ and Ethel's Shoulders.
