Does anyone near MD have sweetgrass turkeys? I'll gladly take eggs or poults.
I'm trying to but I don't have any currently.

I really like the idea of @holm25 learning artificial insemination. There are tutorials on the internet. Using AI, you don't have to mess with the worry of bringing in another turkey. just keep one of your Self Blue hens isolated from the toms and have Holm (at the appropriate time) get semen from someone's Bourbon Red tom and have him artificially inseminate that hen.R2elk, Holm, Let me be perfectly clear, I would take a Tom, However taking a Tom would tick off my DW, the daughter of the Wicked Witch of the South. Bringing a Tom home when I have 9 here now would increase the chances I wake up some morning a capon.

It would be a great learning experience for @holm25 .
Mo- the one I referred to as Tom till I learned both were toms.. Curly- the one that walks on curled toes..
Yip they beat each other up pretty bad. My bathroom became a hospital. I cleaned them.
Curly has been staying in the tub and more I tried letting him out yesterday. He mopped and never ate..
I'm not sure either is eating or drinking. Mo's snood is really swollen. I'm worried about them..
So you already know everything you need.I have seen how to AI turkeys on Dirty Jobs. Go fogure that they did it in Minnesota too!!
