Big weekend for babies! Can't wait for pictures!

Got the turkeys out in the snow. They are having fun. Let the chickens out. All but one came trudging through the snow. Louise, one of the BA, wasn't too sure about the snow. Carried her up to the deck. She changed her mind quickly when I gave them oatmeal.

Annie is shaking the snow off of branches. I have a feeling that will occupy her the rest of the day. She's a goofball!

It is raining hard here today - even the birds won't go out in it lol. When I checked the forecast yesterday, it was not supposed to rain....someone got that very wrong. I had outdoor projects planned for today - I think I'll put them on hold until a bit later....

I am on my way to Menards to get what I need for breeding pens! My wife said I should go there today......To get her some things..

Will she be surprised with everything I get.....


JJ will be with Ethel and 2 self blues in the Guinea Gulag
A young Blue will be with 2 self blues in the Creamette pen..
Mr T will get a new pen/coop with a Blue/ red bronze, a blue and a self blue..... When I say blue I mean blue slate..

Sidekick will get 1 self blue in a new pen, I will pick largest hen for him, all babies will be self blue..
Porter will get the rusty Lavender hen and 1 self blue. in a new coop/pen


This is pretty much final. I am buying the material today when I get the items my DW needs.. "OH,, I thought it made sense to save a trip to town!".." Sorry.."... I have it down now,,,

I think, after the spring breeding season, I'm going to sell 2 of my Bourbon red girls. Two of them are very skittish and really, I don't need 6 hens. That would leave 2 Bourbon girls (Eve and Mary), Sweet Pea (red bronze) and Pebbles (bronze). They're all my sweet hearts. Turkeys eat so much lol. I'm just thinking about it at the moment but I'd rather all my birds be friendly and trusting.

Yesterday when I went into town to buy cat food, I ended up with a new wall mounted feeder and a few other items for the turkeys.....I will install before DH gets home from work today and hopefully he won't notice for a week or two

I am bringing my trailer and going to park it in the shed, She might not notice it for a month when I can say, "Oh, I have had that for a while, just never used it yet"..
