A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Well...I have about 15 feathered pigs headed to freezer camp before the move. Everybody else is on the list for the move at this point.

Ahh.. I have 4 that need to go to freezer camp. I really have 5 but I cannot bring myself to send Sidekick...

I rarely send my turkeys to freezer camp. The feathered pigs are all roosters...lol

Ahh,,

I just sold my extra roosters to a nice immigrant family from SE Asia...

They are on my ignore never again list.

I have too many toms, I have tried to sell them, but there is only so much you can do with turkey Toms.

Memphis I find it amazing Chaos can coin the term "Broody Turkey boxing" and not be able to count to 2...

He must be a savant...
thats cause it has nothing to do with math skills

I never have trouble selling turkeys, but we did process 1 heritage last year for Christmas. This year I had plenty of broad breasted to fill my freezer, so the heritage boys were safe from my knife.

I sell off a few roos here & there but my flock produces mostly very nice meaty boys who grow pretty quickly. Why bother wasting meat that can feed my family? Extra roos never go to waste around here.

Yep, a savant,  See how fats he picked up on that....:clap                         :thumbsup                :yiipchick                    :yesss:                       :bow

I didn't pink anything up to fats  don't you have a window to go lick or something :he

Now boys! Behave & play nice or I'm going to make you kiss & make up.

Hey silkie! Welcome back! It's been quite a while since we've seen you. Sounds like a perfect place to be moving to (I know, I saw that on the other thread lol). How's everything going? I still have one turkey from the group from your eggs. Pebbles is my big sweet heart, loves to cuddle, and was the first one to start laying for me. The two boys were guests of honor at thanksgiving.
