Aurora, that's interesting. I have no clue why it would be just the reds fading. Maybe someone with more experience has an ides. I'm curious.

Aurora, how is your other poult? Anybody have any ideas why only her reds are fading?

I do not have any idea why,

I am guessing it is one of three things..

1- Just a coincidence
2- A genetic defect that is some how attached to the R allele.
3-Someone she knows is sneaking into her house and poisoning the reds.



I actually think this would be something to ask the experts at Porters. When I read there stuff I feel so inadequate.


When I ask questions there, I have it reaffirmed there are dumb questions...

The other little poult survived the night. It slept in the incubator to make sure it stayed warm enough. I got it out first thing this morning and gave it some more water and eggs. Still looks very weak though and lays around a lot. I'm thinking is just a coincidence that it's the reds having a hard time. The other 3 reds are doing great.
