A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Ralphie? Why are you taking back one of Holms roosters? Thought you had a whole pen of them?

Bantambird...Ladybird is a cutie!

Fiesty...hopefully Big Bird's beak heals quickly. Before she gets to expect home cooked meals served by hand!

Well I let my new tom and the hens I had him with out right at daylight this morning.

There was one small squabble and a chase. But my toms forgot about him and started fighting each other.then quit that to show off for the ladies.

He keeps his distance but works closer to the group. One might look up and take a few steps toward the new tom. But for the most part now they ignore him.

Moved 3 poults from the inside brooder to the outside brooder pen as well.

Needless to say they are not at all happy. But they have more room and a couple roost bars to fly up to now. Not just outta the brooder.

Sounds like the integration is going well with the new guy. Any new thoughts on what color he is?

Best could find was a buff. But he meets the u.k. standard. Found pics online that match him perfectly.

Site said they few and far between in the u.s.

I suspect that there are a lot more of them around than people think there are. There are a lot of people that have no idea what kind of turkeys they have especially when it comes to the various Bourbon Red based varieties.

New poult last night! Burbon red x royal palm! 3 more to hatch in the bator, and candled the turkey hens eggs last night and so far everything looks great! It's crazy how turkey eggs seem to show so much more movement than the chicken eggs

I hear you on people not knowing what turkeys they have. I answered an ad for chickens and turkeys for sale.

Asked what kind of turkeys.

Answer. White.

He is still a cool old bird. I'll probably left him have a couple of hens just to see what he throws.

R2elk is right. I don't think most folks know what they have. It will be interesting when you breed him....you could get all kinds of stuff!
