I don't feed them from my hands never have not even with Mars. We do feed them the occasional treat but it's always on the ground unless someone is doing something behind my back.

I grab his snood and pull gently while shaking just like another turkey would (except for the gentle part). I grab the back of his head and neck and shake or pin him, and something that really made him submit the other night was grab his waddle from underneath and pull. That made him duck his head and hide from me

I have to agree with the not feeding from the hand as one of my visitors feed my baby turkeys from her hand and now my baby girl snatches cigarette butts out of people hands so a total no feeding from the hands and also no smoking in the area of the poultry as turkeys are unafraid of humans or even stand offish in the slightest as geese and chickens and ducks .

ok, you guys have been bugging for a while so here's a major photo bomb!

It's been a while since I posted any glamor shots of Adam so...

The one poult has this growth or bubble on the side of his neck behind his jaw. not sure what's up with that but it doesn't bother him any so I've been just letting it go. He'll probably be a Thanksgiving guest of honor.

As I was standing up to leave, a couple decided they wanted to hang out with me a little longer. This is the first time they've ever done this lol. I had my daughter take the pictures. Only 3 of about 20 weren't blurry lol.

Nice looking birds. They are getting big. Adam still handsome in his glamour shots. So do you think you can market the poults in the last couple pictures as the latest fashion accessories. Thanks for the bomb

Aurora Nice pics!

My two preemies were not happy this morning. I had to go out and get a couple of Bert's babies to put in the brooder with them. They seem happy now. Hopefully they will learn how to eat and drink now.

Hey folks! All the babies are looking stellar!!

I really needed the pic! Some gal plowed into me on the way to work yesterday. Broken right arm in 3 places. Surgery required this week, apparently. Got my first ambulance ride. All rather blows.

Aurora...you have the best grin ever!!

Sorry about your troubles.

I am thinking you need a "small" pocket size turkey to take to the hospital with you...

I just happen to have a little preemie I could sell you....
