A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Mine go in after I threaten to kill them all and swear enough to heat the air around me.

I think you should come stay with me for a couple weeks and train my turkeys.

Way back when I had a tom that caused me all kinds of problems I finally got the shotgun out and blew his head off. No more problems since then.

Fortunately for me, I can't go anywhere so I don't even have to consider coming up to help you. As bad as you have allowed your turkeys to become, I am sure it would take more than a couple of weeks to make any progress.

For those of you who rely on treats for your poultry, I just don't do that. If needed, I use long sticks to herd my poultry to where I want them to be.

I came in from working outside, I poured a big glass of milk. Mixed in a heaping helping of Nestlé's chocolate syrup. Went to my chair sat down and took a big swing of my afternoon pick me up. Turned on the computer and blew 3/4 of the mouthful all over the screen of my laptop when I read R2elk's first line.

I am glad to see it is not just my turkeys that are badly behaved. My turkeys somedays go right to bed. other days I fight and fight with them. I like them when they do what they should. The WWD swears one of the hens is blind because of her inability to see the doorway. I had to prove to her she sees fine by dumping a little corn on the ground and how fast she ran to it.

She is the one that figures the BOSS or corn or whatever I lure them inside with is a trap. Tonight I had to chase her in, the rest ran for the scratch. The young turkeys have been a pain, tonight they ran right in to. It is a little after 4 and my chores are done and turkeys to bed. It is hard to believe. Normally turkey bedtime takes 45 minutes, tonight 3 minutes.

The WWD is gone over night, I think she is the problem, Maybe I should just trade her in for a different woman.

I am thankful that my turkeys USUALY answer to and listen to voice commands. If I tried throwing scratch for them, they'd look at it and walk away. They believe that they're royalty and refuse to eat anything that's been on the ground. It must be hands feed to them lol. Though, my girls that escape the pen every day (yeah, I've given up trying to keep them in) have learned that if they don't eat it off the ground, the chickens will get it all and they'll get nothing.

BTW Ralph, my escapee turkeys have taken to the ducks ;) They tend to hang out together lol

Ducks area bad influence on turkeys, I suggest mulching the ducks, NOW!

No way! The ducks are beautiful and incredible foragers. I think everyone should have a couple, just for bug control. But, I'm talking muscovies, which technically are not related to any other duck breeds and are closer to geese

And that is suppose to make them better?

I have guineas for bug control, it gets no better than that.
