A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

As in judging dogs. There are subtitles that are hard to glean from any standard . It can be insightful to talk about each individual animal.

I have heard of people having 4hers show their stock to get their name out there and then get the turkeys back after show season.

Yep...samdsame with dogs Holm. But if Ralphie 's flock has moved past the standard for blue slate color then it's not worth entering. Heck, maybe I'll enter Miss Daisy just for the learning experience.

Amatures! Those birds should be ring ready! Can you tell I've been as AKC judge for 20 years? Turkeys are capable of learning. A little practice would go a long way.

Miss Daisy would probably love it if there's people around that she can visit with :)

Holm - that video was cute..... I had no clue how you would get a turkey to walk around on cue :p

Daisy love it! She really likes people & is curious about them. My sister volunteers at a wildlife preserve in St. Louis. She leads children on tours. She thinks Daisy would make a wonderful demo bird.

Feisty. ...are you catching some of that west coast rain?

Coffee....where are you? Moving???? Hopefully! !

Got home early yesterday. Knowing today was going to be a rainy washout I took the girls on a hike. Broke my own rule and took them around to the front again. I was sitting on the front porch step when the mail woman came by. She's not my normal guy. She almost had a heart attack seeing the two turkeys sitting there with me. Then Annie decided to follow her doing that "barking" thing. Mail woman was not amused. And I had to go contain Annie. If someone is walking by with a dog, she tends to want to go for the dog. Goofy bird!

I can picture Daisy being a tour turkey, she's so interested in people :)

We've been cold and frosty here, it's a nice change from all the usual rain. We had an earthquake a week or so ago, talk about a bit of a jolt

I saw that on the news. Didn't realize you felt it! Yikes!

Daisy would be a wonderful turkey ambassador. There is a group here that takes chickens to nursing homes. Daisy would be good at that. :D
