A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I am sure it was a wild migrating turkey that dropped the seeds in my pasture!

I like the turkeys and chickens eating the olives because after they pass through their digestive tracts there is nothing left that could possibly grow into a tree. You will need a better excuse than a turkey. I have two mature Russian Olive trees in the turkey/chicken pen and have never had any of those olives sprout and grow new trees.

Okay.. maybe a band of marauding elephants? It is best they think I am too crazy to actually plant them myself..

Friend of mine came by to watch me rewire some bonsai. He doesn't mind the chickens & turkeys so they were hanging out with us. That dang Daisy managed to wedge herself in between us at every turn. She is jealous. ...I guess.

Ralph, showing fowl is pretty hands off. Stuff the bird in a cage & wander off till the judging is over. Being an introvert could be an advantage! At several of the shows I've been too, the judges allowed me to audit them. I loved it.

Sure am getting excited about all the upcoming babies!!

Feedman, so ... you have hens being bred now. Is that earlier than normal for your flock? Daisy is still laying away. I'm finding it interesting that so many hens seem to be laying early, all across the country, plus that person in Austria.

My tom has been courting my hen and she has started squatting for him so we will see what happens.

Last year my girls didn't give me eggs until late march early april.

Didn't have toms beating each other up as bad until March.

My first eggs weren't very fertile.

So seems this year may be month or so ahead of the game.
