Are you a little sad?? What did the guy think? Do you think he'll be a good owner? Did you give them bubble baths and blow dry them so they looked good?

I am but I grew up on a farm, I know you cannot keep every male your raise. You either sell them or eat them.

Penguin and Ginger will live a long life with this guy. He asked how long they live, I punted and said 8-10 years or more. He was excited at that. Ginger was on his best behavior. I picked him up and carried him to the cage and he was "cooing" and looking around scared but not overly. The guy petted his head and said " Oh I love this one"......


Penguin was a little harder to catch. his comment on him was "WOW he is a big one!"

I would seperate all but one tom... She is probably going to get cut from them all trying to breed at once...

She ended up under a tom-squabble yesterday, so I moved her this morning. She's now in the other half of the barn with my laying ladies, and looking a little mystified about her new roomies. Since I wasn't looking to breed her right now, I think this might be a better location for her. I think (hope) she'll be able to relax a bit, while I figure out which boys are leaving.

No, more penguin stories, you're right. But there could be a Penguin Jr.

None of mine are lappers, but I did catch JJ and hold him, as he tolerates it. Having a stranger there JJ was not really into being caught he kind of ran away from me, but once I got him he was good. Penguin's new human Dad wanted to know if his turkeys would tame down like that. I told him I thought they would if he spends time with them.

I hope they do.

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. My brother and his gf are home visiting from Oregon so everything had been rush rush. Heck, I'm leaving again in like 15 minutes. Grandma's birthday so everyone is meeting there lol.

I have 14 turkey eggs in lockdown now. The eggs are rocking and rolling my brother and his gf came up here earlier to see the turkeys. It was so funny. At first they were afraid that Adam would bite them or something lol. They loosened up and were feeling his snood which they claimed was "really weird" and they were petting and talking to the girls who were very adamantly yelling at the invading intruders. They got to hold and pet some babies and saw the turkey eggs rocking and rolling. Yeah, I think they had a good time

Aurora, what a fun day! Most folks seem leary of my turkeys at first. They get over it real quick after Daisy mugs 'em. She always wants to be the center of attention.

Turkey eggs Rock'nRolling...too cool! Can't wait for the pics!!
