A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

3 of my 6 kids are moving with me...so they probably better remember that lesson.
I ended up with a blue palm out of my birds last year. Not sure how, but definitely a keeper. I got lots of awesome colors last year. Can't wait to see what this next generation brings with the new color combinations.

Did you end up with any pullets from my eggs? Just curious if you got dark eggs from them.

Sorry for your loss!!

All part of raising poultry...just not my favorite part.

SS are you part of Porters Turkey Genetics facebook bunch? They identified several of Ralph's "different colored" birds, and Porter ended up using their pictures on his site. We all thought that was pretty cool! So if you have something your not sure of....thats a great place to get answers. They even worked over Aurora's red tom.

I'm looking forward to Ralph's hatches this year. Its fun debating what variety they are! We are sort of doing that with Aurora's poults already! So SS we will be expecting pictures from you too. I'd love to see your blue tom!!!!

I visit Porter's website a lot but didn't know about the facebook page. My phone loads pix to facebook without issue. It just doesn't like BYC.

There is a link to the discussion group at the bottom of his page. These folks don't play, they have Master Degrees in turkey identification!

Its a great resource. Also...we are all addicted to Porters calculator!

Ya'll...what am I going to do if my hens go broody? I'm starting to obsess about it. I hate to think I'll be spending all summer in the Broody Turkey Hen Boxing arena. I have visions of me fighting with them all summer!
