A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Shes waiting to catch you off guard!! One of my BYC friends had a broody SQ barred rock from her Stukel lines and it was fine with her around the eggs and when she didnt touch the chicks. But when one slipped out through a small hole in the door and she grabbed it the hen slammed against the door trying to attack her!!

We'll see. She definitely doesn't like me touching her eggs but all she does and wine and cry about it and try to pull them back. Still only the one pipped out there but no more advancement.

Wow, demand for poults had really shot up all of a sudden! I posted an ad on my local Facebook yard sale page not expecting much interest since most of the people there are in the city. I'm sold out! The last poults from my last hatch are to leave tomorrow, all of the poults from this hatch today are reserved and I've started having to take orders for next week's hatch already! I'm excited! Yet, at the same time, I need to sneak in the few I'm keeping lol

Aurora - so cool that poults are rising in demand! I'm glad, given how many you have cooking over there in the bator :gig Definitely waiting on more poult pics (or bloody stump pictures, whichever comes first) lol.

Do turkey hens lay every day usually, just curious what their normal laying trend is? Big Bird put it in the nest again today :celebrate

When mine are laying they are nearly daily, they will rival the chickens for number of eggs.

Wow Big Bird! Fiesty, what are you doing with the eggs? Eating them?

Aurora, congrats on all the poultry sales. That's terrific. Maybe you let Pebbles raise the ones you keep.

Got home early enough to take all the girls for a walk. Most of our daffodils have flower buds on them. Well...they used to have buds. It's apparently flower buds are a turkey delicacy. :(

Got back home about an hour before bedtime. Locked all the girls into their yard. Daisy kept pacing the fence doing that loud turkey chirp. It was killing me. Finally let her & Annie into my yard to hang out. I'm a push over. And Daisy is playing me....:/
