And honkers! Okay, I won't unsubscribe. Doesn't Holm already have some? I think it would be fun to raise Eastern Wild turkeys, but I'm not sure about these big fat ones.

Yes Holm has turkeys. His tom, Mr.T, is going to spend some time at Ralphs place creating a bunch of colorful babies.

If you cross a Self Blue with a Sweetgrass you get 100% Tri-color Mottled Slate (Bb1 Ccg Dd).

If you breed a Tri-color Mottled Slate to a Tri-color Mottle Slate you also can produce 27 different varieties, some of which in my opinion are prettier than anything Rusty Slates can produce.

A couple of possibilities are the Cornish Palm and the Blue Sweetgrass.

All you need to get started is a Sweetgrass hen since you have Self Blue toms.

I do need one, or two.

BUT I have found if I hatch them, they do not offend my wife as badly as I buy them.

DO not ask me why. I have no idea.


The birds I need are not limited to sweetgrass. BUT they are one.. Matter of fact my needs are not limited to birds.. I need Dexters! Minature mules and donkeys...

I tried to get a pig last year ,but that was nixed by someone with an XX in their genotype.

Like all birds depends on Quality and age. Common ones are around 9 bucks as poults in this area.

They are not...

The reason turkeys are so cool is they are the highest level animal capable of Parthenogenesis. I have never seen a Muscovey do that!
