A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Do they do well in hot places west coast desert. What kind of land scraping is best for them.do they have allergys I need to look for

When people sell them is it profitable on birds. Is it easy to work out transport from post office. How well do the eggs hatch and what colors.

Do I have to incubate turkey eggs or turkey does it. Can the turkey be a saragent as a chicken egg.

Almost all heritage variety turkeys are the same except for coloration and size.

Turkeys are seasonal layers. Mine start in march and usually lay til august.

Turkey hens are very good at going broody.

For birds locally I keep on eye on craigslist.

I feed my birds 20 percent game bird out of round feed bowls. For the breeder pens. When I don't have them confined I free range the majority of the time.

Moved my first round of eggs to the hatching incubator.

Might be late on the move. I thought I had a couple of days.

But I candled and I think some have pipped internally already. Could see their mouths moving while they were breathing.

Out of 8 eggs 6 looked good.

Good luck Feedman...can't wait to see poult pics!

Figured out a new use for a lapper. Lap desk. Yep. I was sorting mail on Daisy's back and working on my tablet. I'm telling ya, she likes to settle down on my lap for a snooze and doesn't seem to mind me setting up my tablet on her back. A turkey lap desk is quite handy.

Ralph, are you incubating turkey eggs yet?

Coffee, how's it going with your turkey herd?

Well,,,,,,,

They would most likely work fine for us normal people, but those addicts like Aurora would look at it like a alcoholic does near beer....contempt for them because they are too small..

BTW I like the idea of being able to watch the eggs through them. Does it have a turner?

The pot is calling the kettle black lol. At least I only have 1 cabinet bator at max, not two like someone else I know!
