Good luck with that. Mine have discovered they can fly over the netting and out the fence.
Mine are in a covered pen, NOW completely enclosed...I hope.

I caught Ethel Jr sneaking off to, I assume, lay an egg.. I then saw JJ giving his DNA to Ethel Jr. Sidekick was not happy about this, but one little beating from JJ and Sidekick backed down.
I am going to be moving Ethel Jr back into a pen tomorrow. I was wondering how long after she beat the crap out of me for taking her off "her" eggs it would be until she started laying again.
I have not seen the other hen showing any signs of egg laying or breeding yet.
R2elk should I leave her out a few more days or do you think she could go into a pen again?
I need to redesign my pens too, I had them designed so each hen could see the others, which worked fine until I had babies. Now the mother wants to fight through the screens.
That is what I have, the plastic dish that you screw a mason jar into. I guess I will have to figure something else out to get them water. They sure are making a mess out of things.
